Olaf supplies accurate information and support to project managers and process engineers through 3D modelling and drawings. In addition, Olaf is responsible for the maintenance of a robust CAD-structure-and-parts library which enables the efficient implementation of standard- supplied equipment for tendering and design support of dairy industry process technologies.

 

Background

Olaf grew up in a mechanical engineering family. Since 2000, Olaf has worked in a wide range of engineering specialties, including engineering structural steel, transport engineering, steel and aluminum truck decks, and structural components for Antarctica for the US military.

In addition, Olaf has extensive experience in mechanical design, comprising food display, earth- moving machinery equipment and components, concrete patching plants and silo storage, conveyance for the concrete and food industries, and platforms and walkways complying to Australia and New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS).

Interests

A family man, Olaf takes great interest in his family’s passions: currently, the passion is racing sport ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). As a result, Olaf is Vice President of Canterbury ATV and an official of Motorcycling New Zealand (MNZ) including Steward Level 4 and Clerk of the Course Level 2. It’s clear that Olaf is a massive ‘speedway nut’ and he’s either raced or been a crew member since he was 12 years old. Olaf loves watching all forms of motor racing and follows Supercars, as well as the National Rugby League religiously.

I get great enjoyment from assisting clients’ ideas come to life, from concepts in their head to working examples. By creating systems and products in CAD and providing specialist information, we move the ideas into reality.
