1-Day Fundamentals Course

Ideal for: Operators or technical staff who are new to membrane systems or looking for a refresher.

This course builds a solid foundation in the science and operation of membrane separation, with classroom learning and some hands-on components.

Topics include:

Milk composition and membrane basics
Membrane separation principles (MF, UF, NF, RO)
Pre-filtration, flux, pressure drop and transmembrane pressure
Membrane cleaning basics including fouling mechanisms, sanitation principles and membrane water quality guidelines.
Membrane accessories, consumables and installation practices

Participants will gain an understanding of how to operate and maintain membrane systems confidently, supported by real-world examples and discussion.

2-Day Advanced Course

Ideal for: for participants that are currently familiar with membrane technology and have spent some time operating or technically supporting a membrane plant.

This extended course covers everything in the 1-Day Fundamentals plus advanced topics focused on membrane design, system performance, and troubleshooting.

Spiral membrane manufacturing, spacer sizing and plant layouts
Applications and accessories
Participant-specific plant review

Day 2: Performance, Cleaning & Troubleshooting

CIP fundamentals and cleaning chemistries
Installation, configuration, and shutdown management

Failure modes, troubleshooting, and component rejection issues
